We got tired of finding out last.
Corveto started in 2019, after a payment service the founders ran was down for six hours overnight. The monitoring was working. The alert went to an inbox nobody was reading.
So the first thing we built was not a check. It was the escalation policy — the part that decides who to wake, when, and what to do when they do not answer.
Thirty-one people work here now, across nine time zones, and there is always someone on call. We monitor Corveto with Corveto, which concentrates the mind.
